Sylwia Glinska – nanny, newborn care specialist, and childcare consultant

Get to Know Me

Hi, I’m Sylwia - a nanny, newborn care specialist, and consultant with a background in computer science and over 15 years of hands-on childcare experience.

I started B&B because I saw a gap. While caregiving is deeply emotional and human, so much of what we do is shaped by invisible systems: shifting routines, changing family needs, developmental stages, and unspoken job expectations. I wanted to make sense of those systems, not just for myself, but for other nannies and parents who crave clarity in a messy yet very intimate field.

Over the years, I’ve worked in daycares, private homes, weekend gigs, and live-in travel jobs. I’ve supported families with different values, incomes, and parenting styles. Along the way, I've learned how to advocate for fair pay, navigate tough conversations, design routines that actually work, and most importantly, adapt to each family’s individual needs.

This blog is where all those threads come together. I use data to explore the realities of caregiving: from infant sleep to caregiver burnout, from feeding schedules to the economics of nanny life. It’s built for those who want more than just tips - who want tools, insight, and community.

Care work deserves to be seen, valued, and better understood. That’s why I’m here. And I’m glad you are too.
